A relaxed, scenic loop out of Evesham taking in classic Cotswolds roads down to Stow / Moreton-in-Marsh / Broadway, with a nice run back via Tewkesbury / Cheltenham.

Highlights

  • Easy-to-miss left turn for the A422 (near Alcester area).

  • Don’t miss the left turn to stay on the B4088 (opposite the chequered road sign).

  • Don’t miss the left for the B4080 just over a crest (40 limit).

  • Go straight over the roundabout to stay on the B4077.

Rider notes

  • Best ridden early / mid-week — the Cotswolds gets busy fast, especially around Stow, Moreton and Broadway.

  • Watch for cameras / 40 limits on the village approaches and crests (you’ve got one key turn “just over a crest” in a 40).

  • Easy-to-miss turns (from the map):

    • Left for the A422 (it’s a sneaky one — don’t drift past it).

    • Left to stay on the B4088 (opposite the chequered road sign).

    • Left for the B4080 just over the crest (again, easy to sail past).

    • Go straight over the roundabout to stay on the B4077.

  • Surfaces: expect occasional mud/grit on shaded lanes and near farm entrances — especially after rain.

  • Traffic pinch points: Evesham centre, Pershore, Tewkesbury, Stow-on-the-Wold, Moreton-in-Marsh and Broadway can all back up — plan your stop outside the hotspots if you want a smooth run.

  • Overtakes: plenty of nice flowing sections, but visibility can be limited by hedges/crests — keep it tidy.

  • Fuel/coffee: easy at the start (Twyford Services). Best stop options on-route are Stow or Broadway (busy but decent).
