Snake Pass & North Peak District

Route

This is a cracking Peak District rideout that strings together three proper highlights: the sweeping A57 Snake Pass, the moorland climb over Holm Moss, and the tighter, more technical run across Strines Moor. Expect a great mix of flowing A-roads and narrow back lanes, with reservoirs and wide-open moorland scenery most of the way round.

Although it’s shown as starting and finishing in Huddersfield, it’s really an easy loop to jump on from almost anywhere. Whether you’re coming in from Sheffield, Glossop, Barnsley, Holmfirth or the Woodhead side, you can join the route at a convenient point and ride it in whichever direction suits your day.
